Kaislikossa luita (roughly translates as ”bones amongst the rushes”) was recorded between Thursday 29 April – Wednesday 5 May in 2021 in Rovaniemi, Finland. The album is a set of improvisational pieces and motifs created with a traveling setup using a small eurorack system, Arturia Microfreak, Sanyo Memo Scriber cassette recorder and Monome Norns. Recorded directly to Zoom with light EQ and compression done in post.

The titles of songs are derived from different Laplandish dialects, northern mythologies as well as my father’s literary and life work.

Dedicated to my father, Oiva (1935–2021).
